10th Annual Bede Parker Memorial Results

The 10th Annual Bede Parker Memorial Longboard Contest was held last Sunday, in the middle of Queens Birthday Weekend. 56 competitors faced extremely challenging surf and weather conditions at Waimarama Beach in Hawke's Bay.

Strong North easterly winds gave us a rain soaked onshore day, with hard paddle outs and wind blown conditions. The vibe was great but it was a gumboot and raincoat day. The prize giving and after match party was the best yet. Thanks go to all the generous sponsors, to all that helped with judging, tabulating, set up and pull down. Plus a big thank you to all the competitors that come from all over the north island.
